Susannah's background in historic preservation makes her a trusted partner & resource for clients seeking the technical expertise and guidance they need to become confident stewards of Chicago's built environment.
She has called the South Side of Chicago home since 2001 and is also a specialist in the unique markets of Hyde Park, Woodlawn, South Shore, Pilsen, McKinley Park, and surrounding areas.
Susannah's approach to real estate is obsessively service-oriented and client-focused. She works closely with a limited group of clients at a time and treats every professional relationship as one that is lifelong. This enables her to provide exceptional, personalized guidance from beginning to end of the purchase or sale process, and beyond.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, Susannah spent a decade working in the Chicago art world, the majority at the excellent Corbett vs. Dempsey. In her years as an art gallery manager, she developed an eye for aesthetics and a detail-oriented approach to client service – skills she now brings to her work in real estate.
Susannah lives in a classic Chicago Bungalow in South Shore with her husband Brian (a documentary filmmaker), son, and a pitbull mix named Georgia. She also rehabbed and manages an 1890s three-flat in South Chicago. Outside of work & family, her hobbies include building her collection of indestructible vintage appliances, thrift shopping, and volunteering as a steward and advocate at the beautiful South Shore Nature Sanctuary and South Shore Cultural Center. You can find her on X and BlueSky @susannahribs.
