Meet the Team

Kate is a native of Royal Oak, Michigan, but has lived in Chicago for over 20 years. She studied undergrad at DePaul and has worked for a record label, for a mid-century modern furniture dealer, the Renegade Craft Fair, a software start up, a fortune 50 technology company, and has now been a Realtor for the better part of a decade. Real Estate checks all of the boxes for her when it comes to career goals - it's creative as well as technical, it's client focused and high impact, it changes every day but operates on a reliable cycle, and she gets to see inside lots of people's houses and help people make big decisions in their lives.

In 2020, when Kate's first child was born, her husband, Ian Tsan got his license and has been working with her ever since to keep the wheels greased and the train on the tracks. Kate and Ian love growing their family, their home, and their business together.

Working throughout Chicago and the suburbs, our goals have always been to advise and empower our clients to make the best decisions for themselves in moments of big change. We want you to feel confident, prepared, engaged and taken care of. Many of our clients are creatives, artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs and their housing needs and goals are a little outside the box. We love working with folks who've walked off the beaten path and may need a little extra expertise to get the right financial product, find the right space, or execute the right renovation. We are also passionate about homeownership as a path to generational wealth and financial stability and dedicated to bringing first time buyers and those otherwise at a disadvantage to traditional income growth to the closing table.
